Nursery nurse faces being 'struck off' for allegations of abuse

Provision
A former nursery nurse alleged to have abused and harmed a child is to face a conduct hearing next week.

Samantha Wilson is accused of tying up a child in order to force feed him while employed as a trainee nursery nurse at Bruntsfield House Nursery in Edinburgh.

She is alleged to have tied the child to a chair using an apron, scarf and a tie from a dressing-up costume on four occasions between August and October 2012, and to have told the child she would ‘batter him’ if he did not sit down.

The nursery has since changed ownership. Little Voices Nurseries took over the setting in May last year.

Ms Wilson is to appear in front of a Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) conduct hearing next Tuesday.
