Children in need
Early years settings across the country helped raised money for theBBC's Children in Need appeal.
The children at Olympus KeyMed Day Nursery in Southend-on-Sea, Essex(1), Little Acorns in Washington, Tyne and Wear, Little Acorns Nurseryin Ellesmere Port, Cheshire (2) and Puddleducks Day Nursery in Woolston,Warrington (3) made cakes to sell to parents and staff.
Walford pre-school in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, and the infant andjunior classes at St John's College in Southsea, Portsmouth organised a'spotty day' in honour of Pudsey Bear. Children and staff at SteppingStones Montessori Nursery in Poole, Dorset, and ABC Nursery inWhitehaven, Cumbria wore their pyjamas. At Daisy Chain Nursery inEmsworth, Hampshire (4), everyone dressed as their favourite TV, book orfilm characters.
Children at Little Bears Nursery in Weston Super Mare and Busy BeesNursery in Oldbrook, Milton Keynes, did themed arts and craftsactivities. Little Acorns Nursery in Neston had a messy play day.
Some settings were visited by Pudsey Bear, including Benchley Pre-Schoolin Kent (5) and Little Acorns in Brackmills, Northampton.
Adults got in the spirit, when staff from Computershare Voucher Servicesin Lichfield raised 1,000 for Children in Need by holding theirown 'X Factor' competition.
