Chief executive Purnima Tanuku, speaking at last week's NDNA conference, said that contracts for the building had just been signed. It is backed by Pounds 1.75m from Yorkshire Forward and 300,000 from Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council.
The site will accommodate a business unit, designed to support nurseries who are looking to expand, and a workforce development academy as the hub of the NDNA's training activities.
It will also be the organisation's new headquarters, with space for its 40 existing staff.
'It will be an innovative place, where nurseries can access the training and support they need to help them survive in today's competitive market,'
said Ms Tanuku.
'The support from Yorkshire Forward and Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council means we can finally start work on the building, and we look forward to seeing the centre offer help to nurseries across the country.'
