National Insect Week

(Photograph) - The Red Admiral Atalanta butterfly is one of the many creatures that children in early years settings and schools are being encouraged to look for during in the first National Insect Week from 14 to 20 June. The week has been organised by the Royal Entomological Society. Its president, Chris Haines, said, 'We want to bring home to everybody how insects have a major part to play in the delicate balance of the eco-system.' For details, see www.nationalinsectweek.co.uk.
