National Day Nurseries Association NDNA

Free, tailored support and advice is being offered by the National Day Nurseries Association NDNA to 15 local authorities so they can effectively involve private and voluntary providers in the development of children's centres. Topics include writing inclusive tender processes, planning awareness or consultation events, and creating good communication lines with private and voluntary providers. Applications for help can be made to Patricia Jackson on 0870 774 4244 or e-mail patricia.jackson@ndna.org.uk. The NDNA has also created a 'contestability checklist' for local authorities published in the Sure Start Centres Planning and Performance Management Guidance, available to download at www.surestart.gov.uk.
