Meanwhile, to promote the programme, Discovery Home & Health launched its own survey of childcare of all types - though nannies might not recognise themselves in it. Apparently 95 per cent of average nannies expect 'higher wages than other nannies nearby' and 60 per cent expect an en-suite bedroom. The survey claims that 62 per cent of working mothers who want or have a nanny say they 'would approach a group of nannies in the park' to nab a good one - and would lure them with, among other perks, 'the opportunity to meet well-off future husband material'.
