A Baby Born doll who sits on a magic potty with flashing lights, music and flushing sounds is predicted to be one of the bestselling toys this Christmas by the Toy Retailers Association, reported the Herald. The toy was originally launched in 1991 as the first doll to have life-like functions.

Contented Little Baby author Gina Ford has argued that children arebeing victimised in reality TV programmes such as 'Supernanny' and 'WifeSwap', reported the Daily Mail. Ms Ford criticised the delight suchshows take in shame-and-blame methods, saying that children are beinghumiliated and branded as 'little monsters'.
