The Homework Club at Wandsworth prison aims to give children vitalcontact with their fathers and give the prisoners an extra incentive torehabilitate. More than 50 children are taking part in the club once aweek. One prison officer joked, 'We hope none of the dads are teachingtheir kids things like how to rob banks.'
Santa has been told he must slim down, or face eviction from shoppingcentres at Christmas, said the Daily Mail. Bluewater shopping centre inKent has set up a boot camp where Santa will be seen getting into shape.But the newspaper said that, despite burning 600 calories an hour fromdelivering presents, if he ate every mince pie left for him by childrenhe would gain 721,000 lb.
