The BBC has been accused of 'sick' commissioning over a television programme in which teenage couples are put in charge of other people's young children to see how they would cope with the job of parenting. The Daily Telegraph claimed that while 'The Baby Borrowers' was being filmed, one baby had to be removed from its teenage 'parents' and another baby was not fed for a whole day. The paper quoted Dr Michelle Elliott of the child protection charity Kidscape as saying, 'What is the BBC thinking of, giving babies and young children to inexperienced teenagers as entertainment?'
