Long hours culture

So Charles Clarke thinks a ten-hour day in school for some children is the right way forward. I disagree. At the end of a tiring day young children need to be in a more relaxed, intimate, caring environment. I think that the politicians and civil servants who make these decisions were either never children themselves or certainly do not mix with children now.
