If you are interested in or concerned about the food that children are eating, then I can highly recommend this well-written book, which covers a wide range of food issues, policies and activities.

The book is aimed at five-to nine-year-olds. It offers detailed examples and advice on how to get children actively involved in learning about healthy eating.

There are seven sections, based on traditional mealtimes and other events, including barbecues, picnics, parties and celebrations. The menu boxes with suggestions and recipe ideas are especially handy.

My main criticism of this book would be the lack of colour and the excitement which it could bring to this subject. The front cover is uninviting and would not persuade me to choose this book.
