Investors in Children (IiC) kitemark

The 25 new quality assurance schemes endorsed by the Investors in Children (IiC) kitemark have been named by the Department for Education and Skills. Details of the first 25 schemes, set up to raise standards in childcare and inform parents about provision, were announced in November 2003. Among the new schemes are London Play, Quality in Play; National Childminding Association, Children Come First; Pre-School Learning Alliance, Aiming for Quality, and EYDCPs schemes in Birmingham, Buckinghamshire, Darlington, Knowsley, Norfolk, Oldham, Rochdale, South Gloucestershire and Stockport.
