Inspectors get it right

Ofsted has published a survey highlighting the fact that nine out of ten head teachers are satisfied or very pleased with letters inspectors have written to pupils as young as four following their school's inspection. The education watchdog also found that the majority of pupils agreed or strongly agreed that inspection letters were a good idea. The report 'School inspectors' letters to pupils: lessons learned and ways forward' can be downloaded at www.ofsted.gov.uk.
