In brief...The Kids' Clubs Network conference

The Kids' Clubs Network (KCN) held a national conference in London yesterday (31 October) to press for more out-of-school childcare networks. There are 80 in the country but the KCN wants all 150 early years childcare and development partnerships to have them. The Network2Network conference was part of a three-year project backed by the Community Fund. Anne Longfield, KCN chief executive, said, 'As the school-age childcare sector grows, regional networks can enable clubs to help each other, exchange information and provide a secure foundation for future development.'
