Early years settings are being invited to apply to appear on a future edition of a new programme for pre-school children. 'Blue's Clues' is an interactive show featuring a host and his female puppy called Blue who invite viewers into a computer-animated storybook world to help them solve puzzles. Each episode, broadcast on Channel 4 and the satellite channel Nick Jr, features a diary segment of a child telling a story about themselves, their family or something they like, while drawing a picture. To enter the two-part competition, send a postcard to Nursery World to our address on page three. It must be marked 'Blue's Clues' and have a contact name and number, the name and address of the nursery, playgroup, nursery school or nursery class, and the number of children the setting has aged between four and five. Several settings per region will then be selected and sent Blue's Clues drawing materials. The second part of the competition is simply to ask children to draw a picture of Blue in their favourite place. The closing date for entering the competition is 30 November.
