Childcare and social care students and lecturers turned up at Hertford Regional College, Ware, in fancy dress, including a plethora of punk gear, to raise money for Children in Need earlier this month. Their combined antics raised more than 1,000 on the day and they hope to double the figure when all the sponsorship money is collected. Denni Morrison, lecturer in psychology and child development at the college, said, 'We decided on "Punk's not dead, it just got older" as this year's theme for the staff - and I've never seen so much studded leather and so many pairs of fishnet tights in one place!'
