Healthy competition

Traditional playground games allow children to burn off excess energy. Lynne Garner describes some modern variations we all played them when we were children, learning the rules from one another or simply making them up as we went along. They had such names as 'British Bull Dog', 'Tag', 'He', 'It' and many others I'm sure you can think of. However, the rules used may now be a blurred memory. So in order to enable you to encourage the children to burn off a little energy by playing fun games, we have put together a few that are ideal for the playground.
