Head appointed for PM's unit to support troubled families

Louise Casey, who previously advised Tony Blair on anti-social behaviour, has been appointed by Prime Minister David Cameron to head up a new unit set up by his office to help 120,000 'troubled' families.

Ms Casey, who resigned her post as independent Victims Commissioner totake up the job, will report to Eric Pickles, the communitiessecretary.
