Giving up on Ofsted

I applied to become a childminder last May. I had my inspection in July and was told to start allowing prospective families to visit me, as the children would be used to both me and my home by the time the registration arrived. But that was seven months ago. Yes, the Criminal Records Bureau check took ages, and that was sorted out before Christmas. It is now March and Ofsted has still not sent me my registration. It has, however, sent for my references twice. But it doesn't really matter, because I have gone back to work in a pre-school and won't be using my registration when it comes.

Another ridiculous thing was being made to do the Introducing Childminding Practice course, when I have an NVQ 3 in early years care and education, and have also managed a pre-school. Also, I had just given up work as an NVQ assessor and internal verifier, and had 25 early years candidates working towards their Level 2 and 3 awards. Yet I still had to spend six weeks learning basic childcare. It was humiliating, and I am disgusted that my past experience was not recognised.
