First Aid For Babies and Children Fast. In association with the British Red Cross. (Dorling Kindersley, 9.99, 020 7010 3000). Reviewed by Jo Murray, First Aid is Fun
This book, designed for parents and childcarers, is an up-to-date volume with all the new first aid techniques. I was impressed with the clear layout and step-by-step instructions. The photographs allow the user to see exactly how treatments and procedures should be undertaken and the format enables essential quick reference.
The book covers all types of first aid incidents, ranging from common illnesses and injuries such as tummyache and arm injury, to the more severe, such as CPR and rescue breathing. There is a good section on child safety in the home and garden.
