A large cardboard box, paint, scissors, straws, small cardboard tubes and bean bags
Step by step
* Get the children to help you paint a simple face on the front of the box.
* Where the robot figure's mouth should be, cut out a large circle.
* Attach straws or cardboard tubes to the top of the box to represent the robot's aerials or antennae.
* Place the box on a low table or chair and play a game of 'feed the robot' by letting children take turns to try throwing a bean bag into the mouth of the robot.
