The nine-acre wildlife site in Eltham, south-east London, held an open day on 14 June. Each year about 10,000 children and adults visit the Centre to enjoy its ponds and streams, wildflower meadows, farm animals, an orchard, an organic vegetable garden and a recycling centre as well as three fully-equipped specialist classrooms set up for a wide range of curricular activities for children from schools in the area.
