The dedication of childcare settings to offering the best food possible for children shines through. This is not an easy task, given that 85 per cent are having to provide a range of special diets. More than half say that Government guidelines on healthy eating for under-fives have not been available to their nursery.
In response to the survey's findings, Lizzie Vann, the founder of Organix and children's food campaigner, is launching a national children's food advisory service offering free, expert advice on food and nutrition issues.
