(Photograph) - Four-year-old Lauren Bullard is among 307 children from more than 40 primary schools in Plymouth, Devon, to have their metabolism measured by EarlyBird, a 12-year study into the causes of diabetes. Dr Linda Voss, EarlyBird co-ordinator, said so-called 'adult' diabetes had reached epidemic proportions and was beginning to affect children.
