Down's survey

I am conducting a nationwide survey of children aged three to five with Down's syndrome, looking at their experiences of pre-school services, on behalf of the Down's Syndrome UK Education Consortium. The survey will be followed by telephone interviews and visits to pre-school settings, to look at good practice. Information will be used to create a support pack for pre-school services.

Information will be used to create a support pack for pre-school services.

A pack produced for mainstream schools is a great success and has won a national award. Hopefully our pre-school pack will be equally valuable.

If any Nursery World readers care for a child with Down's syndrome, we would be grateful if they could ask the child's parents if they would be willing to fill in a short questionnaire. If they are happy to do so, e-mail me and I will send one out.

If readers have any comments about including a child with Down's syndrome or about training or information that they would find useful, please let me know. All responses will be welcome.
