Colourful animal seat sculptures at the Thomas Coram Early Childhood Centre

(Photograph) - Colourful animal seat sculptures have crept into the Thomas Coram Early Childhood Centre's courtyard, much to the children's excitement. The sculptures are the work of its nursery children, aged three to five, in partnership with artists from the October Gallery in London. The innovative arts project at the London borough of Camden Early Excellence Centre was inspired by workshops at the gallery, where the children viewed traditional sculptures from the Republic of Benin in west Africa.
