Children's services need to reflect fathers' role

Children's services should adapt to reflect the role of fathers in their children's lives, according to a poll of 500 fathers by the Fatherhood Institute.

The fathers surveyed said they would like to see longer opening hours in services such as healthcare, information that is relevant to fathers and not just mothers, and staff who recognise fathers' contributions in children's lives. The survey results are available at www.bigfatherhooddebate.com.
