Former managing director of Nord Anglia's nursery division Tracey Storey has launched a human resources consultancy to help childcare businesses with recruitment and training.

The Midlands-based company Broaden HR will run Tinies' childcare franchise in Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire, which Ms Storey said would be her 'recruitment arm in childcare'.

She will also help companies review salary and benefits packages, organise the supply of permanent and temporary staff and offer advice on issues such as health and safety, new legislation and operational procedures.

She said her company would be supplying bespoke courses for particular organisations and running a range of accredited childcare NVQs, as well as courses in supervisory management.

Ms Storey said, 'The whole area of employment is becoming increasingly legislative and potentially very costly. This is particularly the case for smaller businesses who cannot justify employing full-time HR expertise and may not be aware of the pitfalls.'
