Ten early years practitioners from Child Base are celebrating after completing NVQ Management Level 3 with the chain's Developing Managers course. The nine-month programme has been running for four years and aims to develop managers and management potential. As part of their course the trainees visited childcare facilities in Madrid and attended a presentation by the World Association of Early Childhood Educators. Emma Phillips, Child Base operations director, said, 'Child Base is pleased to announce yet another successful Developing Managers training programme in 2003. The course remains exclusive to Child Base and is an ongoing testament to our progressive training style and nurturing of employees.' The group operates 29 nurseries in England and employs 640 people.
