British children cost their parents an extra 125m in electricity

* British children will cost their parents an extra 125m in electricity due to their increased usage of computers, TVs and stereos during this summer holiday, a survey by energy provider Powergen has found. The survey also found that more than 76 per cent of children have a TV in their bedrooms, 86 per cent own a CD player and 97 per cent of children aged five to 16 have a computer or games console at home.
