Card glue black paper/card green tissue/crepe paper black crayon sticky backed plastic string
Step by step
* Talk about the life cycle and habitat of tadpoles/frogs.
* Cut out the tadpole body shapes (older children can do this themselves).
* Tear the tissue into strips to resemble pond weed.
* Stick the tadpoles and weed on to the card.
* Draw on the tadpoles' tails with black crayon.
* Cover the card with sticky backed plastic to resemble glass.
* Then make a 'jar' shape by bending the card round and securing with sticky tape.
* Finally make two holes on either side of the 'jar' at the top and make a handle by threading through string.
