Listening as a way of Life: An Introduction

Delegates will learn the benefits of listening to children, identifychallenges to listening, explore the different languages through whichchildren communicate and how to help them express their ideas andfeelings. SEN for Early Years Identification and Intervention

Led by Dr Christine Macintyre, a fellow of Edinburgh University, thiscourse will look at recognising the early clues displayed by childrenwith special educational needs, the latest interventions and strategies,and how to meet the SEN code. Delegates will study the children'sability to learn, the learning environment, and how school policy isformulated to accommodate special needs.
