The Old Station Nursery Group has bought My First Friends, a chain of five nurseries in the West Midlands.
The deal takes The Old Station Nursery Group’s number of settings to 41, providing a total of 2,800 childcare places.
My First Friends was established in 2004 by former owner Catriona Savage. Its sites are based in Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Wlyde Green, Malvern and Rubery.
Following the latest acquisition, The Old Station Nursery group, which is part of international childcare provider La Maison Bleue, said it plans to expand further.
It is one of a number of nursery groups that has continued to grow its business in the last year.
Sarah Steel, chief executive of The Old Station Nursery Group, said, ‘A very warm welcome to all of the children, parents and staff members from My First Friends to The Old Station Nursery Group. We are really looking forward to meeting everyone over the coming weeks and are delighted to have you as part of our nursery family.’
‘We are very excited to work with each of the teams at My First Friends, to learn from them, review best practice and share our group ethos in order to create brighter futures together.’
