Waxing lyrical

Can anyone tell me why it is now seemingly impossible to find good-quality chunky wax crayons anywhere? There must be a supplier who sells beeswax crayons in a range of colours, where children need only press lightly to create their pictures. Now it seems that only poor-quality crayons of indifferent colours are available, most of which we throw away because they are useless. The Early Learning Centre used to sell them, but it says that there is now no demand.
