In this episode of the animated series about Tom Fetch, animal champion and all-round good guy, his veterinary waiting room degenerates into mayhem for the afternoon after he has to send his assistant home because she feels unwell.

'The Ark - The Walls of Jericho'

In this episode the Ark makes an emergency landing near the River Jordan, as Owl and the crew continue their quest to learn about the world's great religious stories. They hear about the Israelites' journey into the Promised Land and blow their own trumpets as Scope the robot explores the ruined walls of the city of Jericho.

(BBC 1, 10.15 to 10.55pm)

Reporter Vivian White talks to Muslim leaders and members of the community, including Muslim schoolchildren and charity workers, in Birmingham, and asks them where their loyalties lie following the terrorist attacks on America on 11 September.

'Angelina Ballerina'

This new animated series for young children, based on the books by Helen Craig and Katherine Holabird, relates the adventures of a ballet-dancing mouse and her friends. It features the voices of Finty Williams as Angelina and Dame Judy Dench as Miss Lilly. A different story is shown each weekday at the same time.

'Eureka TV'

(BBC 1, 4.20 to 4.35pm)

This science programme for children considers the pelican's amazing beak, looks at whether human bones are bendable and demonstrates how the stomach digests food, using an unusual experiment involving fire and a digestive biscuit.

'Blue Peter'

(BBC 1, 5 to 5.25pm)

Presenter Simon Thomas visits Rome for a whistle-stop tour of the city as he explores the Coliseum, learns to make pizza and models some of the finest in Italian designer clothes. He also visits the crypt of the famous Capuchin monks, who used to leave the bodies of their dead on view.

'Horizon - Cloning the First Human'

(BBC 2, 9 to 9.50pm)

The investigative science programme looks at the work of fertility experts Dr Panos Zavos and Dr Severino Antinoni, who claim that they will attempt to clone a human being within the next few weeks. However, some of their advanced IVF procedures are being investigated for possible harmful effects on the long-term health of children, and in the programme Professor Gerald Schatten of the University of Pittsburgh reveals startling evidence of these risks, which could be magnified in cloning.
