11 September. One Year On - The Words of Children. (BBC Radio 4, 11 to 11.30am)
The voices and words of British children who were deeply touched by the attack on the World Trade Centre a year ago. Those featured include children who built a 'correspondence bridge' with youngsters in New York, a Swansea school whose response to the attacks was movingly musical, and the heartfelt poetry and prose of children stirred to express their innermost fears and hopes.
Best Inventions Update. (BBC 1, 7 to 7.30pm)
The programme follows Vivian Dux, inventor of the 'Baby Dux' travel crib, as she tries to secure a deal with Mothercare, and other successful inventors who took part in the last series.
The Commission. (BBC Radio 4, 8 to 8.45pm)
With teachers, pupils and parents complaining about the constant testing of children in school, as well as adults being appraised at work, this programme asks if the methods of testing and assessment are really appropriate.
