Nursery chain Busy Bees is getting ready to pass the torch to celebrate the 2012 Olympics with a relay event involving all of the group's nurseries.

An opening ceremony to launch the 136-day relay, held on 9 January at the Busy Bees' setting in Sudbury Hill, was attended by Paralympic gold medallist Tim Prendergast and by mascot Mr Busy Bee, who will carry the torch along the route through all its UK nurseries.

To help spur him on, Mr Busy Bee will be joined by a number of sports personalities and Paralympic champions at various stages of the journey, before reaching the final destination in London's Excel on the eve of the real Olympic opening ceremony.
