Rochdale Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership in Lancashire has liaised successfully with a major local employer, MyTravel UK, formerly Airtours, to improve access to childcare for its employees. MyTravel's new head office in the town houses 1,000 employees and will have its own on-site nursery. A childcare co-ordinator will be available on-site at certain times of the week to provide support, including information on local registered childcare provision ranging from childminders to out-of-school clubs and advice on obtaining grants and tax credits.
