* Pennies Day Nursery in Maidstone, Kent, has established a programme to train all its staff members up to NVQ Level 3. The nursery provides resources and materials to help staff with their studies, on-site computer support and time off from nursery duties. So far, five out of the six staff at Pennies have completed the level 3 qualification and three have now moved on to level 4. Pennies is currently recruiting staff for a new 80-place nursery at Newnham Court, Maidstone. The setting will also have a 56-place after school club and a shoppers' creche and will open in autumn.
