TALENT SPOTTING

Nurseries across the country have been saying goodbye to pre-school children leaving to start school in September.

Treetops Nursery in Milking Bank, Dudley organised a graduation ceremony for children, for which they dressed in caps and gowns, while a Pre-schools Got Talent contest was held at Montagu Square Day Nursery in St Neots, Cambridgeshire (pictured). Children performed cheerleading routines, break dancing, and sung in front of a panel of judges.

Staff and children from Sawston Nursery in Cambridge buried a time capsule under the foundations of the new extension to their purpose-built setting. The time capsule contains information about the current children and staff, details of the nursery's Diamond Jubilee and Olympic celebrations and a copy of Nursery World magazine.
