Two children in Spain have been committed to a mental health clinic bytheir parents for their addiction to mobile phones, said the Guardian.The children, aged 12 and 13, were deceiving relatives to get money topay for phone cards. Dr Maite Utges, director of the Child and YouthMental Health Centre in Lleida, said, 'They both showed disturbedbehaviour and this exhibited itself in failure at school. They both hadserious difficulties leading normal lives.'
Another expert in addictions Dr Josi Martinez-Raga said this case couldbe 'the tip of the iceberg.'
