The campaign aims to inspire a love of picture books and introduce a newgeneration of illustrators and writers.
Artists include Polly Dunbar, Emily Gravett, Mini Grey and LauraHambleton, whose work featured in Nursery World's nursery rhyme posterseries and stories from around the world.
The ten Best New Illustrators will be named at the Children's Book Fairin Bologna in March.
Judges include author and illustrator Anthony Browne, journalistNicolette Jones, author Malorie Blackman and Antonia Byatt, director ofliterature strategy at Arts Council England.
Children's laureate Michael Rosen said, 'The picture book is a unique,intricate and massively various art form. It offers a space in whichideas and emotions can be pored over, questioned, discussed andfelt.'
