Nursery World celebrates its 100th birthday this year and the Big Day Out on Friday (16 May) at London's Business Design Centre was an opportunity for all those working in the earl years sector to reflect and look forward to the next 100 years.
A flagship debate discussed past and present influences on early education in the UK, while an exhibition of Nursery World covers from the first issue of the magazine on 2 December 1925 was an opportunity to look back at how society has changed over the past 100 years spread across the covers of the magazine. Attendees were also able to take part in a competition linked to our exhibition for a chance to win a prize from Community Playthings.
