The new nursery group has bought Red Bus Nurseries’ three sites, which provide care for over 700 children, and are all rated outstanding by Ofsted.

This is the second acquisition for the new nursery group, which was formed by investment manager Downing, after it bought Katey’s Nursery and Pre-school in June, a chain of five nurseries in Southwest London.

Sinead Johnson, chief executive of Chalk Nursery Group, said, ‘Red Bus is a remarkable group of nurseries embodying our vision of a supporting and trusting environment where there is inspiration and support for a lifelong love of learning. We are delighted and privileged to have the opportunity to work with the teams and care for the children.’
