A major report, 'Parents' Demand for Childcare in Scotland', was published by the Scottish Executive as Nursery World went to press. The report, produced by the National Centre for Social Research, examines patterns of use of childcare, parental views of ideal childcare arrangements, and parents' ratings of different kinds of provider and childcare costs. It is available on the Executive website www.scotland.gov.uk. We will analyse the report in depth next week.
