
The stunt by migrant and refugee rights charity Praxis comes ahead of the deadline for submitting evidence to the Government’s Child Poverty Strategy deadline on Friday.
Campaigners from the charity played a video on a van in various locations in Westminster, including the Departments for Education and Work and Pensions, as well as the Home Office – the departments with the power to make changes to protect migrant children from poverty.
According to Praxis, one third of children living in deep poverty are migrant children. It says this is partly because hundreds of thousands of families experiencing poverty are locked out of vital state support because of the ‘No Recourse to Public Funds’ (NRPF).
