Pedal pushers

Kiddi Caru Nursery in Chelmsford, Essex, did their part in Pedal Push2007 to raise money for telephone helpline Childline.

As in many other settings, the children rode bikes, trikes or pedal carson sponsored laps around a track. To join the campaign call Jean Glennonon 020 7650 3405 for a fundraising pack.

Garden makeover

Nursery assistant Ross Hemmings joins children on a wooden train in thenew and improved garden at Daisy Chain Nursery in Adel, Leeds, whichhelped it win Daisy Chain Childcare's internal competition for outdoorplay development. Staff at all the nurseries introduced sensory gardens,developed physical play activities and brightened up the outsideenvironment.

Seeing red

Graham Short from the Red Cross shows children at Little Acorns Nurseryin Washington, South Tyneside, how to bandage up a patient during RedCross Week. The nursery staff and children showed their colours for aspecial Red Day in aid of the charity.
