Funny face hamburgers

450g lean lamb or beef mince meat 1tsp vegetable puree 1 egg 1 tsp tomato puree small pinch salt and pepper 1 tbsp plain flour 4 buns small circles of carrot a few cooked peas small slices of tomato a little grated cheese

A Preheat the oven to 200xC/ 400xF/ gas mark 6.

T Place the meat in a mixing bowl. Add the vegetable and tomato purees and let the child mix together with clean hands or a wooden spoon.

T Let the child crack the egg into the bowl. Add the salt and pepper. Let the child mix the whole mixture, helping to bring it together into a ball if it's very stiff.

T Set meat aside. Clean work surface and sprinkle on some flour. Allow the child to divide the mixture into four and to make face shapes.

A Cut eight small circles of raw carrot for the eyes, thin slices of tomato for the mouths and provide a few cooked peas for the noses. Grate some cheese for the hair.

T Allow the child to make the faces.

A Place the hamburgers on a lightly greased baking tray and cook for 25-30 minutes or until lightly brown and shrunk in size.

A Allow to cool and serve in a bun with fresh vegetables and chips.
