Thousands of shoppers packed Regent Street in central London on 13 November to watch pop singer Daniel Bedingfield switch on its Christmas lights with the help of Blue Peter presenter Konnie Huq and nine-year-old Leo Thomson (centre), who won the Blue Peter Christmas art competition. Daniel also performed a free concert, with support from the opera band Amici Forever and boy band D-Side, in aid of the BBC Children in Need charity.
