(Photograph) - Children as young as two and a half can take their first ballet steps following last month's Scottish launch of the Royal Academy of Dance's pre-school curriculum, called 'Dance to Your Own Tune', at City Moves dance studio in Aberdeen. Lynn Wallis, the Academy's artistic director, said, 'It is never too early to introduce a child to dance. The non-prescriptive ethos of the curriculum encourages both teacher and child to "dance to their own tune", making decisions according to the child's ability and teacher's preferred methodology.'
